The 2012 edition of LPS Beijing (www.lp-showcase.com), China's most exclusive luxury property exhibition, will be held on April 20-22nd at the glamorous Legendale Hotel Beijing. Over 5,000 visitors are expected to attend the 3-day exhibit that gathers 56 exhibitors from 22 different countries.

China's most expensive apartment is no longer for sale, amidst a government investigation involving profiteering charges against the developer Sinobo Real Estate.

The high-end penthouse in Beijing's Haidian district had an asking price of more than 300 million yuan (US$46.2 million), or 300,000 yuan (US$46,300) psf, reported ChinaDaily.

Beijing's housing authorities on 3 June suspended the sale of the unit, along with 22 other units in the Diaoyutai No 7 Complex.

Advertising properties in China "exclusively for royal dignities" will no longer be allowed as exaggerated advertisings claims have come under widespread criticism for encouraging people to flaunt their wealth.

High-end advertisers are increasingly using inflated phrases such as "first-rate villas" and "aristocrat territory" to attract potential buyers but critics say such phrases are misleading.
