Home With Presley Ties Asks Nearly $7 Million

A home near Los Angeles linked to Priscilla Presley is on the market for just under $7 million, 22% less than its original nearly $9 million asking price. The ranch-style house has been on the market since last year.

The ex-wife of Elvis Presley-with whom she had a daughter, singer Lisa Marie Presley-Priscilla Presley is listed as a trustee of the property.

The home is nearly 8,000 square feet and sits on three acres, according to the listing.

The Los Angeles mansion where Michael Jackson died in June of 2009 is back on the market with an asking price of $28,995,000.

The "faux French chateau" sits on a 1.26 acre lot according to listing information. It was conceived by Richard Landry and completed in 2002 in the most prestigious area of Holmby Hills.

Within the approx. 17,000+ square feet of living space are seven bedrooms, thirteen baths, and twelve working fireplaces.

Blufftop mansion relists at $49 million

Software-company founder Frank Pritt has relisted his Orange County mansion for $49.6 million, down from the $75 million he originally sought in 2006.

Mr. Pritt founded Attachmate Corp., which specializes in a range of business-to-business products.

The 22,000-square-foot beachfront estate in Corona del Mar is called "Portabello" and has eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and two saltwater swimming pools surrounded by grotto cliffs.

The Los Angeles home that Marilyn Monroe was found dead in 48 years ago has gone up for sale for $3.6million.

Located in the luxurious Brentwood suburb, the Spanish revival home comes complete with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and an outdoor swimming pool.

The Daily Mail reports that Monroe bought the home in 1962 for $90,000 and lived in the home for just six months until her death on August 5, 1962.

Newport Beach bayfront mansion sold for $27 Million

A bayfront mansion in Newport Beach, Calif., listed in 2008 at $38 million, has sold for $27 million, according to court records.

The 10-bedroom home is on Harbor Island, where Pimco's Bill Gross last year paid $23 million for a house, then tore it down.

The seller in the recent transaction was DAKS, a limited-liability company majority-owned by apparel executive Arnold Simon, which paid $14 million in 2001 for the home.

Microsoft Corp. co-founder Paul Allen has bought a contemporary oceanfront home in Malibu, Calif., through a corporation, for more than $25 million.

The modular, white stucco-and-glass house is on Carbon Beach, the "Billionaire's Beach" where Hollywood moguls David Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg are owners.

The roughly 5,800-square-foot home, listed for $29.5 million, has five bedrooms, a deck with a pool, a gym and a screening room, according to the listing.

The recent purchase of a Bel-Air mansion has broken the record for most expensive real estate transaction in the United States so far in 2010.

Developer Mohamed Hadid sold the property Le Belvedere to an unnamed LLC for a price between $50 million and $72 million (the asking price).

The French chateau-inspired mansion features a Moroccan entertaining room, a Turkish steam bath room, an infinity pool, an industrial kitchen with pizza oven, and a 5,000-bottle wine cellar.

Indonesian Agrees to Buy Bel-Air Mansion for $50 Million

An Indonesian buyer is in contract to buy a 48,000-square-foot mansion in Los Angeles' Bel-Air neighborhood for around $50 million.

If the deal closes, it would set what brokers believe to be a new record for the biggest residential real-estate sale in the U.S. to date this year.

The previous record is thought to be set by Texas energy executive Kelcy Warren's $46.5 million buy in Colorado in April.

Mondavi's Estate Is Listed for $25 Million

The 56-acre Napa estate of the late Robert Mondavi and his widow, Margrit, has gone on the market for $25 million.

The California vintner, who died in 2008 at the age of 94, helped make Napa Valley a center of fine wine. He and Margrit in 1979 commissioned architect Cliff May, who had earlier designed the Robert Mondavi Winery, to design the estate.

Son Michael Mondavi—who like his siblings is a trustee of the estate, called Wappo Hill—said, "His hobby was wine, his friends were wine and I think this was one of the 'non-wine' projects that really thrilled him."
