Ryan Seacrest Buys Ellen DeGeneres’s Beverly Hills Estate

Ryan Seacrest is in escrow to purchase Ellen DeGeneres's Beverly Hills estate for $37 million, according to a person close to the transaction.

The property was listed last fall for $49 million but Ms. DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi were quietly shopping it last year for $60 million.

The compound spans several acres in Los Angeles's Coldwater Canyon and has a 9,200-square-foot main house and three guest houses.

Ashton Kutcher has bought a home in the heart of the Hollywood Hills for an undisclosed amount.

The sale of a bank-owned San Francisco penthouse apartment closed Friday for $28 million, what local brokers say is a record condominium sale in San Francisco.

The two-story, 20,000-square-foot home was originally asking $70 million in 2008 by Victor MacFarlane, a real-estate investment manager and developer who bought three apartment shells and combined them.
