Tommy Hilfiger’s luxury Connecticut estate sells for $20million

Fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger's luxury estate in Connecticut has sold for $20 million, about $8 million below its original asking price.
According to Sotheby's International realty, the house has been purchased by a family who toured it in September.


The 20,000 sq. ft. Georgian-style home sits on 4 acres and includes 7 bedrooms, 9 full and 3 half baths, 8 fireplaces, and 4 garages.

Extras include fashion-mogul styling, cashmere/exotic leather wall treatments, heated marble floors, a fitness room, a 2,000-bottle wine cellar, indoor basketball court, sauna, massage room with a waterfall and home theater!

Hilfiger purchased this mansion in 2005 for $18million and had put it up for sale since 2008.
According to information from the NY Post the designer will be moving into the Plaza in Manhattan.
