Belle Vue Residences
July 15, 2010 - Singapore

Designed by Japan's Toyo Ito, this freehold development features the architect's signature interpretation of nature through organic geometries.
Living spaces are designed to parallel a branching pattern, seamlessly integrating interior and exterior spaces and using wall surfaces that face outwards for more natural light and better ventilation.
A total of 176 spacious apartments, each with a private lift lobby, comprise the low-rise development, which is located a short walk from Orchard Road.
The residences are situated on 23,000 sq m of landscaped grounds with meandering pathways, gardens and a central water courtyard.
Lighting design courtesy of France's L'Observatoire adds to the landscaped ambience with underwater lights, glowing ‘fire-fly' effects and lantern-shaped pole lights.
The project's two-storey clubhouse is designed as a bridge hovering above the lap pool, landscaped water bodies, a viewing veranda, multipurpose room, leisure lounge, and theatre.
Meanwhile the gym on the lower level looks out to a courtyard garden with water walls. Other facilities include barbeque area, children's playground and multi-purpose games court.
