The recent purchase of a Bel-Air mansion has broken the record for most expensive real estate transaction in the United States so far in 2010.
Developer Mohamed Hadid sold the property Le Belvedere to an unnamed LLC for a price between $50 million and $72 million (the asking price).
The French chateau-inspired mansion features a Moroccan entertaining room, a Turkish steam bath room, an infinity pool, an industrial kitchen with pizza oven, and a 5,000-bottle wine cellar.

Indonesian Agrees to Buy Bel-Air Mansion for $50 Million

An Indonesian buyer is in contract to buy a 48,000-square-foot mansion in Los Angeles' Bel-Air neighborhood for around $50 million.
If the deal closes, it would set what brokers believe to be a new record for the biggest residential real-estate sale in the U.S. to date this year.
The previous record is thought to be set by Texas energy executive Kelcy Warren's $46.5 million buy in Colorado in April.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony sell Bel-Air mansion

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have unloaded their four-bedroom mansion in Bel-Air. They sold the "French-style villa," along with all of its furnishings, to hedge funder Mark Spitznagel for $7.5 million.
The four-bedroom, five-bath house was originally listed for $8.5 million in 2008. Billed as a French-style villa, the walled-and-gated 0.75-acre property includes a guest house, swimming pool, stream and garden with an arbor.

Nicolas Cage’s Bel Air Estate Finally Sold

Nicolas Cage has reportedly sold his Los Angeles mansion.
The actor, who owes $6 million in unpaid taxes, has sold the Bel Air property for an amount estimated to be between $9.5 and $15 million.
Cage, 45, originally asked for $35 million for the house, which he bought for almost $6.5 million in 1998.

Meg Ryan lists Bel-Air home

She had listed the compound in October 2008 at $19.5 million but withdrew it from the market at the end of February.
