Paul Allen buys Malibu mansion

Microsoft Corp. co-founder Paul Allen has bought a contemporary oceanfront home in Malibu, Calif., through a corporation, for more than $25 million.

The modular, white stucco-and-glass house is on Carbon Beach, the "Billionaire's Beach" where Hollywood moguls David Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg are owners.

The roughly 5,800-square-foot home, listed for $29.5 million, has five bedrooms, a deck with a pool, a gym and a screening room, according to the listing.

Scarlett Johansson Hollywood home for sale

Actress Scarlett Johansson has listed her home in the Outpost Estates area of Los Angeles at just $4.995 million with Brett Lawyer of Sotheby's.

The Real Estalker reveals that while Scarlett Johansson bought her home for an even $7 million in 2007, she seems willing to take a deep loss on the home.

The home is a Spanish style estate built in 1931. The gated home has been restored and updated with upgrades that include solar electric.

James Franco Sells Hollywood Hills Home

Actor James Franco, famous for his roles in the Spiderman movies and the Oscar-winning film Milk, has sold the home which was listed last October for $3.695 million.

The Spanish-style villa located very near eternal Hollywood hotspot Chateau Marmont was built in 1923 and has three bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms in 4,000 square feet.

There are vaulted and beamed ceilings, city views and a master bedroom suite with a 19th century marble bathtub.

Abramovich Girlfriend Zhukova Buys in Hollywood Hills

Daria Zhukova, editor of the British fashion magazine Pop and girlfriend of Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has paid $19.5 million for a Tuscan-style home in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills, adding to a real-estate portfolio that already includes homes in Moscow, London and St. Barts. She paid 11% less than the $21.9 million listing price.

The newly built home in Los Angeles is about 9,700 square feet and has six bedrooms, eight baths and a powder room. Set on just over one acre, the largely flat property includes a pool, billiards room, movie theater and wine cellar.

Ben Stiller lists Hollywood Hills estate at $12.5 million

Real Estalker reports that Ben Stiller and his wife Christine Taylor have put their home in the Outpost Estates area of Los Angeles on the market for $12.5 million.

The estate consists of a 1929 "authentic Spanish meticulously restored and sensitively updated" on the South end, and "a stunning Mediterranean redefined with a contemporary point of view" to the North.

The property also includes a pool, a grassy yard and an outdoor dining area.
