The Oeverstraat is close to the old harbour of Wijk bij Duurstede. The Oeverstraat was the access road to Wijk bij Duurstede until the city expansion around the year 1447. Through an 18th-century entrance gate, the entrance is accessible through a stately double front door. The impressive foyer with wooden staircase and Belgian bluestone floor provides access to all rooms. At the front there are two spacious rooms, both with a cozy fireplace with traditional clean masonry and special views to the hall. The former regent's room to the left is equipped with a wooden floor and historical details such as a vault with ornamental ornamentation. The spacious room on the right has windows with characteristic cross-bar frames, a playful level difference and partly a wooden floor. The robust original wooden beamed ceiling has been preserved in several rooms. Currently, the ground floor is used as a shop/studio and has previously been used to keep the office.
At the rear is the chapel situated which has a beautiful marble floor and attractive pointed arched chapel windows that provide plenty of light. The adjacent space in the north wing is due to the generous dimensions suitable for many purposes and has a gray cast floor. The space was previously used for meeting and teaching sessions and is therefore very suitable for this purpose. On the north side there is also a pantry and a double toilet. The walls on the ground floor are finished with stucco.
Through the wide staircase you reach the spacious landing, with a cast floor and a double toilet.
