Now in its 20th year, Verbier also plays host to the established Verbier Festival in July and August - a 3 week classical music extravaganza. Description

A truly outstanding chalet, situated just off of Chemin de Clambin in the very heart of Verbier. The chalet is easy walking distance to both the village centre and the ski lifts of Medran and Le Rouge as well as uniquely ski-in from the slope of Le Rouge.

The chalet has been beautifully finished externally and internally in old wood and provides an unrivalled living accommodation in terms of space, refinement and quality. The chalet benefits from a large plot offering sensational panoramic views to the south.

Lower Ground Floor
Lift access provides entry to large underground storage vaults and to a gallery style entrance hall with reclaimed stone flooring and doors. Access to the table tennis/exercise room with adjoining Hammam is off the entrance hall. The wine room and ski room are beautifully finished with leather seating and old wood fitted ski storage lockers and cubicles with an adjoining WC.   A set of stairs then lead up to Lower Ground Floor Lobby where one may find the laundry room and pantry.

Ground Floor
On the Ground Floor are four delightful guest bedrooms, each boasting their own separate shower rooms. Further stairs extend to a half landing leading to a storage room, entertainment room and a fifth guest bedroom with shower room.   

First Floor:
This floor comprises the magnificent sitting/drawing room with large stone fireplace and timber mantle, concealed radiators, and intricately carved 19th Century wooden ceilings. French Doors lead to a wrap around balcony affording panoramic Southerly and Westerly views across the village and to Le Grand Combin range. Interconnecting sliding doors enable access to the Library/TV Room with wall to wall book shelving, carved wooden ceilings with 1808 inscription, concealed radiators, wiring for surround sound and maroon leather floor. The Dining Room (also interconnecting with the Drawing Room through sliding wooden doors) exhibits a full height pitched roof, wall to wall 19th century old wood panelling, concealed radiators behind carved wooden panels, access to the terrace, as well as an electronically operated sliding door to the family kitchen - complete with a raised breakfast room.

Combles
Following the staircase up leads to a Half Landing with access to the majestic Master Bedroom Suite with an impressive walk through Dressing Area with hanging/storage cupboards. A seventh bedroom accompanied by its own shower room can be found along the corridor from the Master suite. This floor also provides access to a double study/personal sitting room creating an ideal private space to relax and unwind.

Chalet Sittelle also includes a self-contained apartment which is home to the chalet's housekeeper.

Directions

Verbier is a one hour and forty five minute drive from Geneva airport. The resort is only ten minutes from Le Chable where trains run directly to Martigny, with connections to Geneva, Zurich, Paris and Milan airport.
