Engel & Völkers expands to Andorra

Leading international agent Engel & Völkers has expanded to Andorra – where four out of five buyers are foreigners.
The new Engel & Völkers shop is in the centre of Andorra la Vella and sells exclusive properties throughout in the principality.
Thomas Kampfraat, Director of Engel & Völkers, Andorra, says “Approximately 80% of our clients are foreigners looking for a second home and around 40% of them are from the UK.
“The average house price here is around €600,000 and in the most exclusive areas in the region of Escaldes and specifically in the areas of Can Diumenge, Ermengol Serra, Sa Calma and Clot d’Emprivat.”
The most exclusive properties are located in the Escaldes region and prices range from €4,500-€6,500 per square metre.
Andorra is a small country covering only 468 square kilometres with a population of 85,000 made up of 100 different nationalities creating a multi-cultural and open environment.
“It has a high standard of living, is secure and stable and has a dynamic commercial sector with competitive taxation. These factors combined with its excellent gastronomy, sports facilities and its location makes it an interesting spot for foreign investment,” says Engel & Völkers.
