March 19, 2014 - Cape Yamu
COMO Hotels and Resorts, the owner of Metropolitan Hotel in Bangkok, has launched its Point Yamu Villas resort, the company’s maiden project outside the Thai capital.
The 32-acre property in Point Yamu has twenty private villas featuring the contemporary designs of Paola Navone—the Italian designer who helped popularise the ‘shabby chic’ concept in the 1990s—and will go on sale this month, with prices ranging from USD1.6 million to USD3.5 million.
The Phuket project comprises nine two-bedroom villas measuring more than 200 sqm and 11 three-bedroom villas at 500 sqm per unit.
Each villa is built with its own infinity pool, sun deck and garden overlooking Phang Nga Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a favourite destination for kayaking, sailing, fishing and rock climbing.
Point Yamu Villas also features a yoga studio and a 100-metre pool inside the COMO Shambhala Retreat, The Central Bar offering COMO Shambhala Cuisine, and two international restaurants, La Sirena, an Italian-inspired diner and Nahmyaa, a Thai eatery.
At just 20 minutes by car from Phuket International Airport, Point Yamu will appeal to Asia-based couples and families seeking a short break to rejuvenate as well as long-haul guests looking for a comprehensive escape.
