Dennis Miller Lists California Beach Home for $22.5 Million
December 29, 2014 - Carpinteria
The five-bedroom, 5 ½-bath shingle-style home sits on more than a half-acre of land with 63 feet of beach frontage on the Pacific Ocean.
The couple bought the property through a trust for $11.75 million in 2003, according to public records.
Ms. Espley-Miller said in an email that they bought the beach home for its prime location and privacy.
They renovated the house, built in 2001, with a lighter color scheme and new fixtures to “reflect the jaw-dropping sunsets,” she added, and filled the home, in part, with Scandinavian antiques.
Furnishings aren’t included in the list price, said Rebecca Riskin, one of the listing agents.
The couple is selling the home because “our children are grown and we’re ready to begin a new chapter,” Ms. Espley-Miller said.
Riskin Associates at Village Properties, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, is the listing agent.
