106 yr-old property up for tender in Singapore
July 05, 2013 - D10 - Bukit Timah, Holland Rd, Tanglin
The former residence of the French ambassador is being put up for tender after being vacant for more than a decade according to Channel NewsAsia.
The 106-year old white bungalow at Gallop Road on Holland Road will have a guiding rent of S$50,400 per month. It is now a state building managed by the Singapore Land Authority.
Located just a five minute drive away from Orchard Road, the 150,000 sq. ft. property has four bedrooms, three maid's rooms over two storeys.
However, analysts say they do not expect any aggressive bids for the old building.
"It is not launched at the right time. With such a big plot and quite a high rental when the economy is not really performing that well, I don't foresee a lot of bids," David Poh, senior director at real estate agency PropNex said.
