East Hampton Estate Sells for $57 Million
November 02, 2015 - East Hampton
An oceanfront home in East Hampton has sold for $57.3 million in one of the priciest Hamptons sales of 2015, according to Andrew Saunders of Saunders & Associates.
Mr. Saunders said his firm was the only brokerage involved in the off-market deal, which closed earlier this week.
He said the 4-acre site on Further Lane has an older home on it, but said he couldn't identify either the buyer or the seller due to a confidentiality agreement.
The home, on Two Mile Hollow Beach, has a tennis court and pool according to The Wall Street Journal.
According to public records, the seller was the family of the late Alan and Doris Freedman. Mr. Freedman was president and chairman of New Jersey-based Ketcham & McDougall.
