This $159 million Versailles-inspired Florida mansion is up for auction
November 07, 2018 - Hillsboro Beach
The five-acre home, Playa Vista Isle, is among the most expensive homes for sale in the U.S.
The house is being sold by Concierge Auctions in cooperation with ONE Sotheby's International Realty. Bidding starts digitally on Nov. 12, with the live auction conclusion on Nov. 15.
The auction has no reserve, which means the property will sell to the highest bidder with no minimum bid or reserve price. While unlikely, this type of auction means there's the chance the property could sell for far below its value.
Completed in 2018, the 60,000-square-foot home has 11 bedrooms and 22 bathrooms, a 20-car garage with tunnel access, a 4,500-square-foot heated infinity pool, six waterfalls and two docks. The house has detailing, like 22-karat gold leaf gilding, inspired by the Palace of Versailles in France.
Amenities include a 3,000-bottle wine cellar with individually-controlled temperature and humidity secured by biometric access with adjacent tasting room; over-sized Jacuzzi with unobstructed panoramic and ocean views; 13 water features including six waterfalls; and a putting green.
It also has a private IMAX home theater, the world's first private in-home IMAX theater, according to Concierge Auctions.
