A Modern Minimalist House That Showcases A Maserati
January 20, 2020 - Japan
FujiwaraMuro Architects has designed a sleek, geometric residence for a family of three in the Japanese province of Kagawa with the aim of maximizing usable space whilst maintaining a minimalist and simple aesthetic.
Located in the port city of Takamatsu, the residence boasts almost 204 square-meters in total floor area, spread across three stories.
The house is completely painted in a clean white shade, complementing its simple cubic geometry.
With privacy in mind, each wall carries a long, thin window, working in tandem with the four corner voids and central void on each floor to maximise natural light.
As an added feature to highlight the beauty of the owner’s Maserati GranTurismo, the Japanese architecture firm took an unconventional approach to the garage, constructing it with large glass panes, allowing the racer to be admired from within the living room.
