The most expensive penthouse in the Philippines costs $4.5 million
November 17, 2014 - Metro Manila
Ayala Land Premier has sold the country’s most expensive condominium unit to date, with a price tag of nearly PHP200 million (USD4.5 million).
Dubbed the ‘Skyrise 1400’, the 1,400 sqm two-level penthouse will feature a master bedroom, four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a maid’s room, gourmet and utility kitchens, an indoor garden with pond, a covered terrace, a 600 sqm outdoor garden deck and a 25-metre lap pool.
According to Mike Z. Jugo, head of sales at Ayala Land, the unit was the biggest sale for the company.
“It’s the largest residential project we’ve sold to date and the most expensive condominium unit that’s sold in the Philippines,” he told local reporters, adding that there is a market for ultra-prime condominiums in the country with house-like amenities.
The bi-level penthouse is part of Ayala Land’s 50-storey luxury development East Gallery Place inside Bonifacio Global City (BGC), where many expats reside and work.
Jugo said that 70 percent of pre-sales units have already been sold, and that 15 percent of the buyers were foreigners, including Singaporeans and Hong Kong nationals.
Turnover of the Skyrise project at BGC’s new cultural district known as ‘High Street South’ is expected in 2019.
