Paleo Power Couple Lists New York Home for $25 Million
June 25, 2019 - New York
The co-founders of a healthy lifestyle food brand are listing their health-conscious New York apartment for nearly $25 million.
Located near Lincoln Square on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, the roughly 4,300-square-foot property has a lighting system that changes color and dims in the evening, to sync with the body’s circadian rhythms and promote better sleep.
It has a triple-osmosis water filtration system for ultraclean water and UV-light blocking windows. Materials like paint, finishes and sealants were chosen to avoid chemical additives.
"We went out of our way to make sure everything we put in this apartment was as clean, filtered and organic as possible," said seller Jason Karp, who owns the unit with his wife Jessica Karp.
He added that he has struggled with autoimmune problems for years, and feels better living in the home.
Designed by Tony Ingrao, whose company was recently tapped to design the interiors of 35 Hudson Yards, an ultra high-end Manhattan condo project, the home also has a kitchen with heated stone floors. The master suite has views of Central Park, a home gym and a sauna. The apartment is configured as three bedrooms, but a media room could be converted into a fourth.
Juliette R. Janssens and Allison Bandier Koffman of Sotheby’s International Realty have the listing.
