Unbuilt Palm Beach Spec House Asks $55 Million
June 27, 2019 - Palm Beach
In Palm Beach, Fla., a yet-to-be-built spec home is coming on the market for $55 million, which would make it one of the area’s priciest properties.
Developer Clark Beaty said he’s putting the home on the market so that a prospective buyer could have a role in helping design its interiors. The plans are in the final stage of approvals, and he plans to have the home completed by the end of 2020. The land is also on the market separately for $27.5 million.
Mr. Beaty said he bought the 1.14-acre oceanfront site in 2017 for $15.5 million, and has plans to build a 15,300-square-foot home with additional patios, loggias and outdoor living spaces.
The house would include five bedrooms, a media room, a wine cellar, a fitness room and a large entertaining area with a bar, a theater and an office. There would also be a two-bedroom guesthouse on the grounds.
Chris Deitz of Fite Group has the spec-home listing.
