Chimney Peak Ranch listed for $28.95 million
August 07, 2015 - Ridgway
A nearly 2,400-acre Colorado ranch on the market for $28.95 million is being sold fully furnished in Western style, complete with a gun vault and antler chandeliers.
Chimney Peak Ranch is located about 45 minutes from Telluride, according to listing agent Joseph Burns of Lone Eagle Land Brokerage.
Owner John Staluppi, a yacht-builder and owner of car dealerships, purchased the ranch in 2012, Mr. Burns said.
Mr. Staluppi is selling the ranch, with the furniture and some artwork and ranch equipment included, Mr. Burns said.
Mr. Staluppi doubled the size of the main house, expanding it to roughly 8,000 square feet, Mr. Burns said. With four bedrooms, the house has a gun safe and a two-sided fireplace.
The dining room is decorated with a custom-built antler chandelier. At the main entrance, there are two large elk-horn chandeliers and a portico decorated with a waterfall and bronze sculptures. In the bar is a wagon-wheel table and more custom chandeliers made from antique firearms.
In the adjacent pool house, there is a 44-foot-long indoor saltwater swimming pool and workout equipment, and a bar, dance floor and disco balls for parties, Mr. Burns said.
The property has another house known as the Mountain Lodge, located at another entrance to the ranch, Mr. Burns said.
Measuring 3,900 square feet, the lodge is built on a ridge to capture views of the nearby mountains. The structure has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a built-in gun vault and an outdoor hot tub.
