Inside a $30 million San Francisco mansion
July 19, 2018 - San Francisco
A stunning five-story home overlooking the San Francisco Bay that was previously owned by philanthropist and socialite Vanessa Gettyis going on the market for $30 million.
The glamorous mansion in Pacific Heights recently underwent a substantial renovation, including the installation of earthquake-proof reinforcements as well as the replacement of each and every fixture, floor, window and piece of molding.
Each updated component was selected to mirror the original style of the 9,700-sq-ft house that was built in 1912 by Bay Area architect Louis M Upton, the man behind many other mansions in the community.
The current owners had purchased the home at 2900 Vallejo Street for $12.5 million in 2015 from Vanessa and William Getty, who is the grandson of the late billionaire oil tycoon J Paul Getty, with the intention of flipping it.
The six-bedrooms, 8.5-bath home is one of the most expensive properties in the area and sitsjust down the road from the Marina Green, Fort Mason, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Palace of Fine Arts.
The listing agents are Ludovico Mazzola and Michelangelo Mazzola of Compass.
