Another Pricey San Francisco Home

The former San Francisco estate of Melvin Belli, a lawyer whose clients included Jack Ruby, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Mae West and Muhammad Ali, has gone on the market for $39.5 million.
That's about six times its sale price in 1992.
The 1922 brick Tudor Revival of about 11,000 square feet has six bedrooms, five baths and two powder rooms.
Set on an unusually wide 80-foot lot in the Pacific Heights neighborhood, the four-story home includes a heated outdoor pool, spa and four-car garage and bay views, on 0.3 acres.
Mr. Belli, who lived in the home from 1978 to 1992, was known as the "King of Torts" for his successes in the field of product-liability and personal-injury law.
