Half of Shanghai luxury homes empty
September 09, 2010 - Shanghai
In a study in association with newspaper National Business Daily, the three major estate agent chains of Shanghai found out that the vacancy rate of the luxury housing sector exceeds 50%.
They share the view that vacancy is particularly worse in various prime submarkets such as Lujiazui, Lianyang, Century Park, Luwan, Jing'an North, etc. Songjiang New City, Zhoukang in Nanhui, and Zhuanqiao in Minhang also see high vacancy rates due to poor facilities and amenities.
