Palazzo Tornabuoni, Florence
June 28, 2010 - Tuscany
It took a four-year restoration effort to return the fabric of this 15th Century Palazzo to its original splendour.
Located on Via Tornabuoni, the palazzo now houses 38 private residences - a selection of which are being sold as whole ownership - and a club managed by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
Through the grand arched entrances of the imposing Michelozzo façade, one steps into an oasis of terraced gardens, courtyards, towers and private residences designed by Tuscanborn interior designer Michele Bonan.
Apartments comprise 85 to 210 sq m and fuse past and present with Boroque statues, 18th Century mosiacs and Mannerist frescoes juxtaposing contemporary paintings, discreet lighting, AC and flatscreen TVs.
Apartments on the top floors offer views of the surrounding hills, cupolas and bell towers of the city, while all residents enjoy elegant indoor and outdoor communal living areas.
