During this time period, the building served as the main house for the largest private estate in Höörs municipality. The house's architectural style is heavily influenced by local Scanian architecture and especially Bosjökloster slott with the house's stepped gables and a robust granite foundation made from hand-cleaved granite blocks. The current owner, who's owned the property since 1997, commissioned and completed a restoration and modernization of the main house in order to let it flourish once again as a private home. Today, Villa Backa is a magical and characteristic turn-of-the-century dream home with large, generous rooms. The fire place on the first floor as well as in the cellar, beautiful wooden floors throughout, entrancing stuccos in the ceiling as well as fantastically beautiful door posts invite you to enter the house's drawing rooms. The genuinely rustic has been complemented by more luxurious details in a gentle harmony. For example, the house includes a bespoke kitchen from the Uppsala-based 'Canadaköket' which comes with a gas stove from Italian Ilve as well as stucco-dressed cupboards, just to mention some of the house's many beautiful details.
