THE BEACH HAUS

Enter the Beach Haus to find a light-filled double-height space, with a cantilevered staircase, bounded in glass, rising to the level above. Both the ground floor, and the upper floor are breath-taking, with seven bedrooms between them.

At garden (and beach) level, there are three bedrooms, one of which is en-suite. There are two further bathrooms, plus an open plan kitchen and lounge area. This can also be closed off to create a separate apartment, although Terrazzo flooring makes the spaces flow seamlessly throughout. Rich walnut doors, and concealed ambient lighting add to the beauty, while an inter-floor service hatch makes living a breeze.

There is an additional two-bedroom apartment at garden level. This gives obvious income potential, or can be staff, guest or au pair accommodation.

Throughout the house, huge windows and French windows give access to the glorious views. Beach side, the scenes are stunning, while garden-side, the bedrooms look onto a tranquil courtyard. To the water-side, a hot tub on a deck is the perfect place to start, or finish your day, while beach access is via a private gate with a security code, so you can enjoy the astonishing amenity and its beauty, literally on your doorstep, without having to think twice.

LOCATION

Situated within easy reach of Dublin, via the M1, Bettystown is a pretty village most famous for its glorious beach. There are plenty of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, while the nearest large town, Drogheda, is just 10km away. There is a wide choice of schools at both primary and secondary level in the vicinity. The train station at nearby Laytown also serves as a commuter link to Dublin and beyond.

Away from the attractions of the beach, there are wonderful walks in the famous Boyne Valley, with a dedicated walkway running between Drogheda and Navan. Sporting enthusiasts will enjoy golf at Laytown and Bettystown, where there is a tennis club too. You will also find GAA, soccer, water sports and rugby.
A highlight of the year, the Laytown Races are unique, as they are the only beach races to take place in Europe under Turf Club rules. The race track on the day passes right by the Beach Haus.
