The structure was built in the 19th century, and has been subject to various restorations over the years.

The production was certified as organic in 1994 and from 2004 the production became officially biodynamic. On the farm there are several outbuildings and warehouses dedicated: production, storage, maintenance, agriculture, equipment and of course for restaurants.

Beyond this it’s possible to purchase further farming land, of which 3.2 hectares is vineyard (2 hectares Sangiovese; 1.2 hectares of Incrocio Manzoni) and around 5 extra hectares of active olive grove.

The estate aims to be as independent as possible in terms of energy consumption. A Solar Power System and Solar Panels were installed in 2011 which cover the most part of the energy usage, thanks to its striving efforts to be an eco-friendly estate.
