Designed by the Salier-Courtois-Lajus-Sadirac architectural firm in 1967, the Villa Geneste is an architectural masterpiece overlooking the Bay of Arcachon.

Greatly inspired by the Bauhaus ethic and built by the architects who contributed to Royan's reconstruction after the Second World War, the agency's experimental ambition to revolutionize private architecture on a local scale was a great success from the moment this sumptuous modernist villa was delivered, and led to widespread media coverage.

Set in 1,800 m² of wooded greenery, as if on an emerald lawn beneath pine trees, the villa boasts 200 m² of living space. It also boasts a 200 m² covered terrace with swimming pool, added in 1990 by Salier pupil Claude Marty, and elegantly follows the slope of the dune on which it is built.

Upstairs is a vast, light-filled living space with a breathtaking view of the Bassin and the Cap-Ferret peninsula. It comprises a living room with fireplace, a separate kitchen and a dining room.
