Supermodel Karlie Kloss and her husband, the venture capitalist Joshua Kushner, have purchased Rod Stewart’s former Malibu home, the Wave House.

Kloss and Kushner paid $29.5 million for the midcentury-modern property, which is believed to have inspired the look of the Sydney Opera House. The residence first asked $49.5 million when it listed for sale last June.

The house originally was built with six-bedroom, eight-bathroom residence. In addition to its unique, hand-cut copper shingle-topped facade, the 6,200-square-foot compound also features amenities including a beach-facing primary suite with a sauna, three vaulted “public rooms,” a conversation pit, a hot tub and a central fireplace, according to the listing. As well, there’s a separate building currently in use as a garage and a guest house.
