Mount Coggill located on the outskirts of Borris, County Carlow, in the south-east of Ireland. Mount Coggill offers a unique blend of medieval charm and modern luxury. Nestled in the picturesque countryside with wonderful mountain views, this stunning property has been thoughtfully transformed into a beautiful family home with eco-friendly features and contemporary design. Originally a medieval farmhouse, the property was meticulously rebuilt in 1999 and finished in 2004 by renowned composer Barry Guy and musician Maya Homburger, under the expert guidance of UK architect Roderick James.

Approached via a charming boreen with old stone walls and hedgerows, stone piers mark the entrance to the property. The unassuming entrance hall opens to an impressive reception room, originally designed as a concert hall and it still retains the volume and character of that space. This area is beautifully arranged with the addition of a stove which creates a feature and benefitting from the double height floor to ceiling windows and exceptional volume throughout. This leads through to a well equipped galley style kitchen with vaulted ceilings with exposed beams. Beyond the main kitchen is a second kitchen which also forms part of the self-contained Studio Flat at the end of the house. Also on the ground floor are two generously proportioned double bedrooms and a bathroom. Upstairs there is a mezzanine sitting room with large windows ideal for taking in the beautiful mountain views. There are also two double bedrooms and a wet room/shower area.
