Location

Whitehouse is located on the north of Tiree, the most westerly island of the Inner Hebrides of Scotland.

The main village on the island is Scaranish (4.7 miles) which offers a range of amenities including a shop, hotel, post office and ferry terminal to the mainland.   Tiree is accessible by ferry from the port of Oban or via flights from Glasgow and Oban airports.

Tiree, along with Colonsay, enjoys a relatively high number of total hours of sunshine during the late spring and early summer compared to the average for the United Kingdom. Tiree is a popular windsurfing venue, sometimes referred to as the "Hawaii of the north" and hosts the Tiree World Classic surfing event.
