Location

Edington is a highly desirable Wiltshire village on the northern edge of Salisbury Plain, around 13 miles from Bath and 4 miles from Westbury. Steeped in history, it is best known as the site of King Alfred the Great's pivotal victory at the Battle of Ethandun in 878 AD, and for its magnificent Grade I listed 14th-century Priory Church, which remains the centre of village life, hosting the internationally renowned Edington Music Festival each year.

The village offers an excellent range of local amenities, including the iconic Three Daggers Inn with its award-winning farm shop, luxury accommodation, and micro-brewery; a much-loved village hall; post office; and children's play park. Everyday essentials such as a doctor's surgery and supermarket can be found just a mile away in Bratton.
