楼盘简介
Slovakia Sotheby’s International Realty offers for sale a historic building with investment potential, located directly in the heart of Kremnica, on Štefánik Square. The property, dating back to the 15th–16th century, is an integral part of the town’s historic urban core, rich in cultural heritage. A portion of the building is registered as a national cultural monument, further enhancing its historical value.
The property was expanded in the 19th century with the addition of a second and third floor, and the most recent renovation took place in the 1990s. Currently, the building remains in its original technical condition and is not in use, requiring a comprehensive restoration. It therefore presents a unique opportunity for an investor interested in developing a multifunctional property with diverse uses in a tourism-oriented location.
The ground floor, facing the main square, offers commercial potential suitable for restaurant or retail space. The second and third floors currently comprise five one- to two-bedroom apartments, ideal for short-term or long-term rental. The basement, featuring authentic stone vaults reminiscent of a wine cellar, has potential for cultural, gastronomic, or social use. The interior spaces exude a historic ambiance, and the stone and brick masonry provides a solid structural base, allowing for flexible adaptation of the internal layout.
The investment potential lies in the possibility of creating high-quality accommodation facilities combined with restaurant and retail operations. Thanks to its central location on the square, the building is ideally suited for a boutique hotel project, apartment house, cultural and social center, or gallery with a gastronomy concept. The property benefits from immediate access to all services, historic landmarks, and tourist attractions in the town.
History
Kremnica is one of the medieval cities that, in its glory days, were in the center of attention of the monarchs, who tried to conquer and seize it for its rich gold mines. Historians assume that gold and silver have been mined here since the 10th century but the real boom only took place at the beginning of the 14th century. In 1328, the Hungarian king Karol Róbert of Anjou granted it the privilege of a free royal mining and minting town. He founded a mint here. It’s golden ducats, the so-called florins, were among the most valuable and sought-after coins in Europe. The Kremnica Mint is one of the oldest enterprises of its kind in the world and it operates continuously until today. In 2011 it became part of the European cultural heritage.
