In collaboration with the Oslo-based architectural firm Snøhetta, TB-gruppen is now creating fourteen condominiums. The impressive ceiling height and deep window sills set unusually generous frames for modern apartments. The Art Nouveau façade has largely retained its distinctive character in the cityscape over the years. The building's elegant staircase in cast iron and limestone has been preserved, carrying more than a century of history in its steps. This opens up the unique essence of the project, creative freedom for the architects to draw inspiration from the lightness of Art Nouveau, its craftsmanship, and pure materials that age beautifully over time.
The renovation will carefully restore the façade's powerful and rustic base, with the curved, swelling windows characteristic of the Art Nouveau style. If you look closely, you will notice that the continuous bay window is not perfectly centered on the façade. Originally, balconies were located to the left, and these will now be reinstated from the second to the fourth floor. The balcony above the bay window has been enclosed for many years but will soon be opened up again. New balconies will also be created facing the garden.
