Algaida is a quintessential Mallorcan town in the centre of the island. A cluster of Medieval streets built around the central plaza, it's one of the best places to experience the old charm of the island and sample of it's more rustic and traditional delicacies. Description

This huge country estate, for sale in Algaida, originally dates from the 15th century and includes a main house, various outbuildings, and extensive rural grounds; it is located on a plot of over 546.000m2 in the picturesque, wine producing area Algaida, and is just 25 minutes from the centre of Palma and the airport.

There is the large main house which is accessed via an inner courtyard, and a group of buildings to one side which include an impressive wine storage area, still containing the huge original wine barrels. To the other side of the property, you will find other numerous outbuildings which were previously occupied by the vineyard workers. There are also several barns which housed farm animals and agricultural machinery.

The extensive grounds comprise forested areas of pine and oak, olive and fruit trees, and arable land which is irrigated by a freshwater spring.

In addition, there are many original features, mature gardens, water deposits, storerooms, and ancient caves. At present there is no mains electricity although it can be connected to the grid which is close to the property.
