The small village of Scampton lies in a peaceful position approx. 5.8 miles north of Lincoln city centre and with beautiful rolling Lincolnshire countryside on its doorstep. The village's focal points are its popular local pub and primary school, while there is also a parish church.

Nearby Sturton by Stow (approx. 5.2 miles) offers further everyday amenities, including a local shop, a café and a village hall providing regular activities for the community, while Welton (approx. 5.5 miles) also provides access to various facilities.
