Location

Helen Cottage sits in a peaceful setting, set back from Links Road, and about a 200 metre walk to Earlsferry's spectacular beach, renowned as one of Scotland's finest sandy beaches. Elie / Earlsferry is well known for its water sports, including sailing, paddle-boarding and windsurfing, all of which take place in the sheltered bay, while on land there are two golf courses, one the acclaimed 18-hole course and a short 9-hole course suitable for beginners. Several hard tennis courts and a bowling green are also available within the village. Elie Sports Club offers group and individual coaching in golf and tennis during school holidays. Elie is well served by pubs and cafés which include the popular Ship Inn.   

Elie / Earlsferry is in the East Neuk of Fife, famed for its picturesque fishing villages and unspoilt beaches.   St Andrews, the home of golf and the setting for one of Britain's oldest universities, is only 14 miles away. There are traditional links golf courses at nearby Crail, Leven and Lundin Links and new courses at Kingsbarns and St Andrews Bay.

Edinburgh is around 45 miles away accessed by road. The new Levenmouth Rail Link opened in June 2024, and includes a new station at Leven which makes the location even more accessible by rail.

Description

Helen Cottage sits in a peaceful location, set back from Links Road in Earlsferry up a short footpath. The terraced cottage has a characterful pantile roof and its own fully enclosed, south facing courtyard garden in front: the perfect place to enjoy outdoor dining and entertaining in the sunshine. A garden shed offers useful tool storage.

The front door opens into the south facing conservatory / sitting room which overlooks the courtyard garden. Double doors from here open into the kitchen which is fitted with base and wall units, and has integrated appliances including a Hotpoint electric oven and hob. The bedroom sits to the side, and has a south facing window to the garden, and a mirrored sliding door wardrobe. On the opposite side of the kitchen sits the utility room which houses the boiler and is plumbed for laundry appliances. Beyond it sits the shower room. A fixed wooden ladder leads up to two sizeable attic rooms. Both are carpeted and have radiators along with south facing Velux windows.
