9 Yale Hill was built c1880 by prominent Berkshire architect Joseph McArthur Vance as a summer cottage for La Chaumiere in the village of Stockbridge, the estate up the hill. The kitchen was just redone with custom inset cabinetry in the perfect shade of green, its been thoughtfully mixed in with the home’s original built in cabinetry. A rare zinc farmhouse sink was repurposed from a historic property in Lenox and a french ticking skirt has been added for charm. It shares a bathroom with the large and light filled bedroom next door, the bathroom has a clawfoot tub and is accented with a beautiful slab of antique local marble. The primary suite has a curved ceiling and looks out over the garden, its bathroom has a soaking tub and a separate shower with a concrete floor and walls of marble with striking brown veining. This connects to a laundry room at the back of the home.
