Location

Rowney Farm lies within the parish of Whepstead, close to Lawshall, Hawstead and Stanningfield. The area is largely rural although a number of public houses and small shops can be found in neighbouring villages. Lawshall offers a thriving and popular primary school as does Hartest. Travelling north on the A134, the local and historic market town of Bury St Edmunds, home to a hugely impressive cathedral, also hosts a wide range of amenities including good shops and restaurants, a regular market, a number of well-regarded primary and secondary schools and a train station.

For direct commuter services to London Liverpool Street Station, Stowmarket Station can be found within 17 miles and the national road network can be accessed via the A14 at Bury St Edmunds, linking directly to Cambridge, the M11 to London and the A1 heading north. Stansted Airport is the nearest airport for domestic and internationals flights.
