The rest of the land is made up of beach, garden, woodland and open parkland. The Property benefits from a large area of its land as undeveloped while retaining the charm and character loved by regular East Winds guests.

One of the most captivating features of East Winds is its exquisite garden sanctuary, home to an extraordinary collection of mature palms and tropical trees, originally planted over 50 years ago by founders Richard and Margaret Egerer. Margaret, a passionate botanist, lovingly curated the estate's natural flora, transforming the lush rainforest landscape into a structured garden filled with native St. Lucian plants and exotic species. Her expertise in grafting fruit trees and cultivating rare plants laid the foundation for the botanical beauty guests enjoy today.

The Egerers, originally from the United States, purchased this idyllic seaside property in 1966 with a vision to create a boutique hotel harmoniously set within nature, just steps from the Caribbean Sea.
