Rosemullion is on the eastern side of the picturesque Cotswold town of Painswick in a fabulously elevated position. Painswick, known as the Queen of the Cotswolds, is renowned for its fine parish church with 99 yew trees. It has a range of shops, pubs, galleries and restaurants and extensive sporting facilities including thriving rugby, cricket and bowls clubs and a tennis club.

Stroud, five miles away, has a wide choice of specialist shops and supermarkets and an award-winning farmers' market. Cheltenham is the main regional centre, offering excellent shopping and restaurants, as well as the Everyman Theatre and music and literary festivals.

The area offers further leisure activities with country walks along the Cotswold Way, golf on the Painswick Beacon or at Minchinhampton, fishing on the Coln, hunting with the Beaufort, VWH or Cotswold hunts, polo at Cirencester Park, National Hunt racing at Cheltenham and horse trials at Badminton and Blenheim.

A direct service from Stroud to London Paddington takes approximately 80 minutes. Both the M4 and M5 are easily accessible via the A417/A419 dual carriageways.

From Cirencester head north on the A417 and take the exit signposted Birdlip. Enter the village of Birdlip, turn right onto the B4070, then left to stay on the B4070. After 0.7 miles, bear right onto Buckholt Road and continue for 2 miles. Join the A46 and follow the road for 2.4 miles. Turn left onto Lower Washwell Lane; the property is on the left-hand side after 0.4 miles.
