Inspired by Southern European architecture, this unique house on a slope faces south, thereby providing pleasant views of the gardens and villas in this lovely part of Prague. It was built in the 1930s for the board members of a large bank and has managed to retain many period features.

The ground floor of the house consists of an entrance hall with a walk-in closet, a living room with a bay window, and a kitchen with a pantry. On the mezzanine level is a bathroom and two bedrooms. There is an almost wraparound terrace accessible from these two floors that leads to the garden. Several rooms, storage space, and a separate toilet are in the basement.

Exposed beams and polished parquet floors grace the interior of many rooms. Some doors and window frames are also stained a similar dark shade to enhance the 1930s elegance. Other period elements are the tiled stove, the rounded glass alcove by the terrace, and the rough scratched plaster facade. Thanks to its wide windows, the house receives a large dose a natural light.

The sloped, over 1,000 sq. m. garden includes a garage, a magical covered space under the terrace, and mature trees. On its perch above the Vltava River, the neighborhood is close to the most prominent Czech film studio.
