East Anton was originally a small rural hamlet made up of two farms, one of which was East Anton Manor Farm. Nowadays East Anton forms a suburb of Andover in the Test Valley

Local amenities include a nursery & preschool, primary school, a community center and a sports ground.

Andover offers a wider range of shopping, educational and recreational facilities including a college of further education, a cinema, theatre and leisure center.

The mainline railway station runs a direct route to London's Waterloo whilst the nearby A303 offers good road access to both London and the West Country.

Description

East Anton Farmhouse is a Grade II period farmhouse composed of two storeys with a south facing symmetrical façade with ten windows below a low pitched hipped slate roof with wide pain eaves. The building is red brick walling in Flemmish bond and the West elevation is symmetrical of two windows. The East elevation has three upper windows but some altered fenestration, with Dutch flat arches. Access to the building is via the rear later addition.

While currently divided into four apartments there is further potential to bring the house back to a single dwelling subject to the relevant planning permissions and listed building consent.

To the rear of the property there is a walled garden mainly laid to lawn but with various mature shrubs and trees.
