Location

Condicote is a tranquil, picturesque Cotswold village in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Conservation Area. The village offers a thriving community spirit with many events such as an annual jazz concert on the green, coffee morning, craft and produce Shows and a Christmas party.

Amenities are located in the neighbouring village of Longborough (2.3 miles) which offers a public house, parish church and primary school. The village community owns the village shop, post office and café. Further amenities in nearby Stow-on-the-Wold include a doctors surgery, veterinary surgery, bank, post office, cash points, library, shops and restaurants.

The larger centres of Cheltenham and Cirencester offer more extensive cultural, shopping and leisure facilities.

There is an excellent range of private and state schools in the area including Kitebrook at Moreton-in-Marsh, Cheltenham College and Cheltenham Ladies College in Cheltenham, and an excellent range of schools in and around Oxford. The Cotswold School which achieved academy status in 2010, is situated in Bourton-on-the-Water and its’ excellent academic reputation attracts students from across the Cotswolds.

Sporting opportunities in the area include hunting, fishing and shooting. There are golf courses at Naunton Downs, Burford and Lyneham and National Hunt Racing at Stratford-upon-Avon and Cheltenham. There are fine local walks via an abundance of bridleways and footpaths for the horse riding and walking enthusiasts.

Road and rail links are very good with fast access to Oxford and London via the A44/M40 or the mainline stations at Kingham, Moreton-in-Marsh serving Oxford, London/Paddington and the Midlands.

From Stow-on-the-Wold proceed to the B4077 towards Tewkesbury. After approximately 2 miles, turn right signposted Condicote. A the T junction turn left then take the first right. At the village hall turn left into the centre of the village, bearing right at the village green passing the church on your right. Follow the road, taking the first right hand turn onto the gravel lane. Follow the lane bearing left where Granary Barn is found at the end of the driveway through a wooden gate.
