Most recently known as the Black Bear Tavern, 2255 Westlake is an iconic Tahoe location beautifully constructed with local pine logs and stone. The history on file dates back to 1932 when construction began; the building has been a home and a restaurant. It currently has one bedroom studio apartment with a private entrance and current short-term rental permit. The commercial kitchen is still in place and can be converted into a gourmet kitchen for a single family home. There is also an additional small kitchenette located in the southern section of the building. Three large rooms once used as a bar and two dining rooms are now used as comfortable living and working areas, all three with classic stone fireplaces.
