Location

The woodland is close to the village of Ducklington, Oxfordshire. Ducklington benefits from public house, village hall and primary school, surrounded by open countryside and bordered by the River Windrush.
There are a number of public footpaths and bridleways in the area to explore the Tar Lakes and Rushy Common Nature Reserve, Witney Lake and Country Park.
There are various angling clubs and West Oxfordshire Sailing Club.

Description

Fishhouse Plantation comprises approximately 9 acres of predominantly mature poplar with some deciduous species including, Oak, Sycamore and Horse Chestnut. There is an abundance of ground flora and fauna including ivy, elder and brambles.

There is direct access via from Standlake Road and a bridleway with a footbridge crossing over a historic ford to the land to the north.

There is a right of way along the northern eastern riverbank and single bank fishing rights on the southern section of the River Windrush.
