Tanllech Uchaf was originally a modest double fronted Welsh cottage which formed the basis for an imaginative and superb extension to create a sizeable country property with incredibly flexible accommodation arranged over two floors.

The renovation included re-roofing, re-wiring, re-plumbing and new heating while retaining the character and style of a lovely period home. The kitchens and bathrooms are exemplary and contemporary and there is very little our clients haven't considered in the creation of this incredible home.

The front porch opens into a sitting room hall with a feature fireplace recess and a cloakroom off with a WC and wash hand basin. The living room is a great size for entertaining and has a bay window with a Clearview Multifuel stove. Changing rooms, shower and a WC are in the pool house where the rear section doubles up as a laundry and freezer area with the central heating boiler. Alongside, under the balcony, is a pet enclosure with a shower for hosing off after a beach walk.

Above the pool is the outdoor kitchen/BBQ area with a large square pergola for dining and a games area and second pergola. The gardens extend well to the rear and are especially private with a westerly aspect for the afternoon and evening sun.

A double length garage lies to the left of the site and houses the pool equipment. There are two driveway areas and parking for two or three cars.

Cilan is a rural hamlet close to the south western tip of the Llyn Peninsula. One of the most scenic parts of North Wales and benefitting from the Gulf Stream microclimate, the Llyn has particular appeal to those who love watersports and outdoor pursuits. The lovely beach at Porth Ceiriad is only a few minutes walk away and the many restaurants, bistros and specialist shops in Abersoch are a 6 minute drive.

Abersoch has a golf course and is renowned for its sailing with the South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club based in the village.
