Sotheby’s International Realty Czech Republic presents a large set of land plots with a total area of 83,403 sqm, which offer extremely flexible options for future use. Approximately half of the area is intended for the construction of family houses, while the other half allows for development or commercial projects. This combination gives the investor the space to create a premium residential district, a multifunctional area, or a cultural and recreational concept that will take advantage of the unique historical character of the place.
A historical area with a two-century tradition of porcelain
The plots are located on the site of the former Pirkenhammer porcelain factory, one of the oldest and most respected manufactories in Central Europe. Founded in 1803 by the Thuringian merchant Friedrich Höck, it received a privilege to produce porcelain in 1822 and in 1829 became the first porcelain factory in the Czech Republic with permission to decorate its products with its own copperplate. This innovation significantly increased its prestige and distinguished it on the European market.
During the 19th century, the factory underwent dynamic development, collaborating with renowned painters and exporting its products to the whole of Europe. A significant moment was the year 1912, when the porcelain factory supplied tableware for the ship's restaurants of the legendary Titanic . The sets decorated with characteristic crossed hammers, which were produced in Březová, are still among the most impressive symbols of its fame.
After the Second World War, the porcelain factory was nationalized and after 1989 it was privatized. Production ceased in the 1990s, but the area still retains the unique atmosphere of the place and its original urban structure offers an extraordinary basis for a new stage of use.
