Property here is more expensive than the surrounding islands due to its popularity - however luxury doesn’t cost the earth and a three-bedroom villa with sea views comes with a price tag of a modest €700,000.
In neighbouring Corfu you can purchase a plot of land measuring 630 square metres for the sum of €25,000 to build your dream home. In Halkidiki, a popular tourist destination, 3,000 square metres situated near to the beach can be purchased for €290,000.
