Description

Casa Carosello is an imposing "casa padronale". Stone built with a traditional terra cotta tiled roof. Streams, a waterfall, wild life, hidden grottos and wildflower meadows are on your doorstep. Excellent location for walking, cycling and exploring the ancient pathways and tracks in the area. The house is light and airy with generous rooms, some of which are open plan. There is great flexibility of usage and the property, which at present is a family home, also has great scope to be used as an agriturismo or similar commercial venture. It is situated on three levels and was originally built ca. 1850. It has recently (2008) been completely restored to a very high standard using entirely traditional materials in a very sympathetic manner yet taking advantage of technology to provide a high standard of living. The property is triple-glazed throughout with purpose-built traditional walnut windows, shutters and doors. There are beautiful hand crafted oak doors throughout, all with traditional iron fittings. The ceilings are all oak beamed with traditional tile facing, and there are traditional terracotta tiled floors throughout. There are five exits to the garden overlooking the valley in addition to the mezzanine level main entrance. Ample traditional style radiators serve all rooms in the property and there is also a large wood stove and a pellet stove. All six bathrooms have recently installed white units and marble tiles.
